Comparative Evaluation of Cyclic Fatigue and Corrosion Resistance of Three Different Nickel-Titanium Instruments

Objective: The aims of the study are to investigate effect surface treatment process on prolonging life rotary instruments against cyclic fatigue and coating corrosion resistance Ni-Ti files.Methods: This was carried out in two stages. In first one, a total 120 (25/.04 taper) from 3 brands (HeroShaper, RaCe, TF) were selected. Sixty them anodized then all tested simulated root canals with different curvatures. time until fracture recorded, number cycles calculated for each group. second stage; anodization assessed. file groups 5% NaOCl solution at 37° C. Data subjected Mann-Whitney U test. significance level set P= 0.05.Results: There statistical difference among systems terms fatigue. Among types, TF most RaCe had lowest results. groups.Conclusion: Within limits this study, increase canal curvature reduces instruments. While did not change 20° curved canals, it reduced wear HeroShaper files extended canals.
